Overview
Cash and Valuable in Transit(CVIT)

COURSE INTRODUCTION
Cash and Valuables in Transit, commonly referred to as CVIT or CIT, is a specialised private security activity involving the secure transportation of:
- Cash.
- Valuables.
- Negotiable instruments.
- Precious materials.
- Other authorised high-value items.
CVIT personnel operate in an environment where security risks can arise suddenly. The successful CVIT guard must therefore be:
- Alert.
- Disciplined.
- Physically and mentally prepared.
- Professional.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Able to follow authorised procedures.
- Able to recognise suspicious activity.
- Able to respond appropriately to emergencies.
The primary purpose of CVIT operations is not simply to move cash from one location to another. It is to ensure that the movement takes place in a manner that protects:
- The CVIT crew.
- Members of the public.
- Customers.
- Cash and valuables.
- Company property.
- Sensitive operational information.
The UAE regulatory framework recognises specialised requirements for Money Transport Guards and money-and-valuables transport operations.
